Hosting and Selection

Eligibility and public benefit
Proposed selection considers preservation risk, cultural or community value, permissions, technical feasibility and available capacity. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
Authorization review
Self-declared authority is not independent verification. Hosting and distribution permissions must be documented before an operational commitment.
Allocation and responsibilities
Resources should be allocated fairly within available capacity. Written agreements should define maintenance, security, backup ownership, administrators, support expectations and limitations.
Discontinuation
Agreements should explain suspension, termination, notice where feasible, export constraints and an orderly transition. No perpetual availability or unconditional free hosting is promised.
